Except for his love of torturing small creatures, I swear Henry is the Buddha. He is so gentle around other animals, it's amazing. Tonight, I had my back door open because it's so nice outside. I was in my office working on my website (yes, that's right- new bags on the horizon!) and heard an unfamiliar meow coming from the living room. I got up to see what was going on and found the neighbor's yellow cat in for a visit. He and Henry were standing near each other like little buddies. The yellow cat found Henry's tubular play toy that is full of cat nip and went to town on it. I was scared I might never get it wrenched from his fierce grip. His face was totally wild and when Henry leaned in for a closer look, the yellow kitty growled. I finally broke up the party and sent him on his way home.
In the span of 45 minutes, Henry brought in one lizard and two grasshoppers. I rescued the lizard and the grasshoppers finally found their way back out the open door. Henry is quite a hunter. Hopefully it won't get to the point of birds and squirrels.

I'm in the middle of getting a new batch of bags finished and posted. So much work! But there are lots of goodies in store... bunnies, more squirrels, new silk bags, and something for all the Grease fans!
I'm tired from yoga. Tired from a week of hard yoga. My work slump leaked into my yoga and made for a couple of very hard, lethargic weeks where I muttered "I hate yoga" more than once. Of course I don't... obviously I wouldn't do it every day. But it can be so challenging when the body resists. This week gave me hope- the power came back. Today I was so distracted by a pigeon who was standing right outside the window. He just stood there staring at the ground. weird. He was there for at least 20 minutes. See how focused I am on my practice? ha ha!!
time for work.
